I have been teaching for 22 years, all in the subject area of Physical Education or Kinesiology. I spent 7 years at Corvallis Middle School and the remaining years here at Los Coyotes. I graduated from California State University at Fullerton, with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, a Masters of Science in Kinesiology, a clear credential K - 12 single subject in Physical education and an Adaptive Physical Education credential. The course work for physical education and Kinesiology included classes such as bio-mechanics, motor learning, anatomy and physiology, motor development, exercise physiology, and several sport skill analysis classes. It's quite a rigorous curriculum, so for those who think we just roll the ball out come out and visit us to see what we do everyday.
I'm involved with many activities on our campus. I run the Student of the Month pancake breakfast, coach the soccer and girl's softball teams, and i am one of the WEB Coordinators.
On a more personal note, I was born and raised in Southern California. The beach and a stream or river with trout are my favorite places to be. I love any outdoor activity. My passions are my family, my friends, fresh water fishing whether by fly or lure and teaching. When I'm not fishing or teaching, I love hanging out with my family, and watching my Miami Dolphins every Sunday. We are a family of teachers despite the fact that neither of my parents taught. With all of us in the profession at different levels, I am never allowed to take myself too seriously.
I love my job, and I look forward each year to making a difference in a child's life. I hope I can make a difference and help them become a healthy happy adult in the future. With your help, we can do this together and make it the best year ever!
