Pasta for Pennies Benefit Drive
The Pasta for Pennies Benefit drive to raise money for the Lymphoma and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society begins this Monday, March 8 and continues until March 22.
City of La Mirada Lawn Maintenance
The City will spray the lawns and fields of Los Coyotes on Monday, 2/15/10, with a broadleaf herbicide called "Speed Zone Southern". It contains Carfentrazone-ethyl, 2,4-D, 2-ethylhexyl ester, Mecoprop-p acid, and Dicamba acid. We're not sure which of these ingredients does what, but we do like a lawn that's free of weeds. Students and Cell Phones
Beginning Monday, January 25th, Los Coyotes will present a mini-lesson on cell phone etiquette, appropriate use of technology, and the consequences for misuse of text messages, computer websites, and other forms of digital communication. Parents are encouraged to speak with their children and discuss cell phone possession at school, including the need for phones to be powered off during instructional time.
